IMPORTANT!
Be CERTAIN to shut off the Welder, disconnect it from power, and discharge the Gun to ground
before adjusting, cleaning, or repairing the unit.
Wire feed motor runs but wire does not feed properly
POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
Insufcient wire feed tension:1.
Increase wire feed tension properly - follow step 16 on page 13.
Incorrect wire feed roll size: 2.
Replace with the proper wire feed roll - follow the instructions,
starting on page 10.
Flip over wire feed roll if necessary.
Damaged Gun, cable, or liner assembly:3.
Haveaqualiedtechnicianinspectthesepartsandreplaceasnecessary.
Wire creates a bird’s nest during operation
POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
Excess wire feed tension:1.
Adjust wire feed tension properly - follow step 16 on page 13.
Incorrect contact tip size: 2.
Replace with the proper tip for the wire.
Gun end not inserted into drive housing properly:3.
Loosen gun securing bolt and push gun end into housing just enough so that it does not
touch wire feed mechanism.
Damaged liner:4.
Haveaqualiedtechnicianinspectandrepair/replaceasnecessary.
