Welding arc not stable
POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
Wire not feeding properly: 1.
Seerst section - Wire feed motor runs but wire does not feed
properly.
Incorrect contact tip size: 2.
Replace with the proper tip for .030” wire.
Incorrect wire feed speed:3.
Adjust wire feed speed to achieve a more stable arc.
Loose Gun cable or ground cable:4.
Check to ensure that all connections are tight.
Damaged Gun or loose connection within Gun:5.
Haveaqualiedtechnicianinspectandrepair/replaceasnecessary.
Adjust current setting: 6.
Make sure setting matches recommended setting on chart.

IMPORTANT!
Be CERTAIN to shut off the Welder, disconnect it from power, and discharge the Gun to ground
before adjusting, cleaning, or repairing the unit.
Weak Arc strength
POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
Incorrect line voltage:1.
Checkthelinevoltageand,ifinsufcient,havealicensedelectricianremedythesituation.
Improper gauge or length of extension cord: 2.
Extension cords are not recommended. If possible, eliminate the use of an extension cord.
If an extension cord is needed, refer to the guidelines on page 7.
