2.1.4 Connecting the I/O Expansion Module
Like the Breakout Module, the optional I/O Expansion Module provides convenient
access to the In-Sight 4000 sensor’s power, serial communications, and discrete I/O
lines. In addition to the two discrete outputs, acquisition trigger, and serial
transmit/receive that are standard on the 4000, the I/O Expansion module provides
the following:

8 discrete outputs

8 discrete inputs
#
RS232 hardware handshaking
