Pressure Reli
ef Procedure
This equipment stays pressurized until pressure
is manually relieved. To help prevent serious
injury from pressurized fluid, such as skin injection,
splashing fluid and moving parts, follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure when you stop spraying
and before cleaning, checking, or servicing the
equipment.
1. Turn OFF (O) the ES On/Off switch.
2. Engage the trigger lock.
3. Turn off the air bleed valves to the fluid source
and to the gun.
4. Dis
engage the trigger lock.
5. Trigger the gun into a grounded metal waste
container to relieve the fluid pressure.
6. Engage the tr
igger lock.
7. Open the pum
pdrainvalve,havingawaste
container
ready to catch the drainage. Leave
thepumpdr
ain valve open until you are ready
to spray ag
ain.
8. If the spray tip or hose is completely clogged or
pressure is not fully relieved, slowly loosen the
hose end coupling. Now clear the spray tip or
hose.
Startup
Follow all steps under Gun Setup Checklist, page 18.
Shutdown
1. Flush the gun. See Flushing, page 28.
2. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure, page 27.
3. Hang the gun from its hook, with the nozzle
pointing down.
