1. See Prepare the Gun for Service, page 39.
2. Loosen the captive screw (26p). Remove the
valve (26) from the handle.
3. Lubricate the o-rings (26b* and 26g*) with
non-silicone grease, Part No. 111265. Do not
over-lubricate.
NOTE: Do not
over-lubricate parts. Excessive
lubricant o
ntheo-ringscanbepushedintothe
gun air pass
age and blemish the finish on the
workpiece
.
4. Clean and inspect parts for damage. Replace
if necessary.
NOTE: The pro
trusion on the retainer plate (26f)
must point up
ward.
5. Reinstall th
e valve. Torque the screw (26p) to
15-25 in-lb (
1.7-2.8 N•m).
