Work Piece and Work Area Set Up
Designate a work area that is clean 1.
and well-lit. The work area must not
allow access by children or pets to
prevent injury and distraction.
Route the power cord along a safe 2.
route to reach the work area without
creating a tripping hazard or exposing
the power cord to possible damage.
The power cord must reach the work
area with enough extra length to al-
low free movement while working.

To prevent accidents, turn off the tool 3.

use. Clean, then store the tool in-
doors out of childrens’ reach.
Generally, when using this machine 4.
you will stand at the “open” side and
feed the stock. The stock will be
placed on the Conveyor Table on the
left (infeed) and will travel to the right
(outfeed). Use roller supports for long
stock.
Do not stand directly in front of the 5.
infeed or outfeed end in case stock is
accidently ejected.

type of wood, and sandpaper grit.

then begin raising the Conveyor
Table height while feeding the stock
on the Conveyor Belt (165).
