Replacing V-belts
Disconnect the Drum Sander from 1.

Open the Side Cover (82).2.
To replace the variable-speed Drive 3.
Belt (97), loosen the cap screw se-
curing the variable-speed Pulley (26,
28) before loosening the motor mount
cap screws.

Compress the Spring (20) behind 8.

pulley over the shaft (23) and Key
(31) and thread in the Hex Soc Hd
Scr.
Install new Feed (99) and Drive 9.
V-belts (97), re-attach the Bearing
Bracket, and tension according to
instructions.
Tighten the variable speed pulley cap 10.
screw and replace the Side Cover

Pulley Alignment
Disconnect Drum Sander from the 1.
electrical outlet.
Open the Pulley Cover (108).2.
If possible put a straightedge against 3.
the pulley faces or sight downward
across the motor pulley and the feed
pulley.
If the pulleys are not aligned on the 4.
same plane, one of them needs to be
adjusted.
Moving a pulley requires removal of 5.

Tighten the set screws, replace b.

Replace the Pulley Cover (108).e.
Feed Belt Tracking
Feed belt tracking adjustment is a
process taking trial-and-error to perform.
Turn the Feed Belt (165) “ON” and 1.
observe the tracking. If the feed belt
moves to one side or the other, stop
the belt immediately.
If the Feed Belt tracks toward one 2.
side, loosen the lock nut on that side
and tension the adjustment screw
until the belt tracks in the opposite
direction. If the belt continues to track
to one side, turn the Drum Sander
