21. Install gearbox into stump grinder. Reverse steps in
Remove Gearbox from Stump Grinder, page 16 to
install gearbox.
22. Add 6 pints of SAE 80W or 90W EP oil.
23. Install vent plug.
Gearbox Hub Installation
Refer to Figure 15
1. Using emery cloth (220 or finer), remove surface
rust, Loctite
®
and foreign material from hub, and
splined horizontal shaft gearbox.
2. Install gearbox hub (6) on splined output gearbox
shaft. Install washer and nut. Torque nut to 200 lbs-
ft.

U-Joint Disassembly
1. Remove external snap rings from yokes in four
locations as shown in Figure 17.

2. With snap rings removed, support drive in vise,
hold yoke in hand, and tap on yoke to drive cup up
out of yoke. See Figure 18.
