Validating the iView Logic
Use
You may wish to have Visual Composer analyze your model to ensure that the overall logic of
the model is sound and that the information flows through the model without any problems.
Procedure
Choo...
1. Choose Build Validate Logic.
2. Visual Composer will analyze the logic of the model. If an error exists in the model –
such as a form that is not connected properly to a data service – a Warning dialog box
appears. Click More Info to display the code behind the model.
3. Make your corrections to the model and rerun Validate Logic as needed, until you
receive the message Validation Completed Successfully.

Customizing the iView UI
Purpose
When you build the iView logic, a default iView layout is automatically created. Visual
Composer provides tools for customizing all the visual aspects of the iView. For example, you
can modify the iView title, arrange the layout of UI components displayed in the iView, and
customize the buttons, labels, and other controls displayed in the UI components.
Process Flow
Most of the iView customization is carried out in the Layout workspace, in conjunction with the
Designer task panel, which you access by choosing Model Design the Views.
Changes that you make in the Layout workspace are implemented throughout the
model so that when you view the model components in the Design or Preview
workspaces, you will see the results as well.
We call the various forms, charts and tables defined in the iView “views” and the parts
of the view – fields, buttons and columns – “controls.”
