Scanning and Saving Documents as PDF Files (PDF Button)
Save scanned images as PDF files.
Note
You can also add scanned images to an existing PDF file. In that case, select PDF(Add Page) for
Save as type in the PDF dialog box and specify the PDF file to which you want to add images.

Images can only be added to PDF files created with MP Navigator EX. You cannot specify PDF files
created with other applications. PDF files edited in other applications cannot be specified as well.
1.
Place the document on the Platen.
Important
Place the document face-down on the Platen and align an upper corner of the document with
the corner at the arrow of the Platen.

Press the PDF button.
Scanning... and the scan setting values appear, then scanning starts.
When scanning is completed, the Scan Complete dialog box opens. Select Scan or Exit. Select
Scan to scan the next document, or select Exit to end.
The scanned images are automatically saved as PDF files.
Note
When images are added to an existing PDF file, they are added to the end of the PDF file.
