1. EMERGENCY STOP
Pressing this switch stops the compressor immediately. The
compressor cannot be restarted until the switch is manually reset. Turn
clockwise to reset.
On reset, the controller will display a message indicating that the
compressor is ready to start.
2. START KEY
Pressing this key will start the compressor.
3. STOP/RESET KEY
Pressing this key will stop the compressor.
4. NAVIGATION KEYS
These keys are used to navigate through the items on a list and to
change values.
5. DISPLAY KEYS
6. INFORMATION KEY
This key provides additional information for the current display, mode
of operation, or alarm / warning status.
7. BACK NAVIGATION KEY
Press this key to return to the default Status display screen when
navigating screens. This key is also used to exit parameters without
making changes to the values.
8. LED STATUS INDICATORS
POWER ON: The machine is energized.
WARNING: A problem exists or a maintenance interval is approaching.
ALARM: An alarm condition is present. During an alarm, the machine
automatically stops. When the alarm condition has been corrected,
push the Stop/Reset Key (#3) to restart the machine.
9. LCD DISPLAY SCREEN
The LCD contrast is adjusted by pressing and holding the Status button
and pressing the Up and Down navigation keys.
10.DEWPOINT INDICATOR (DRYER ONLY)
Green indicates an acceptable dewpoint, red indicates a dewpoint
above 50_F(10_C), and blue indicates a freezing risk.
PRIOR TO STARTING
1. Make visual check of the machine, ensure that all guards are secure
and that nothing is obstructing the proper ventilation of, or free access
to the machine.
2. Check coolant level. Add if necessary.
3. Make sure main discharge valve is open.
4. Turn on electrical isolator or disconnect. The Power on (8) indicator
will light, indicating that line and control voltages are available.
5. Check direction of rotation at initial start or following interruption in
power supply.
WARNING
Make sure that all protective covers are in place.
Cooling air flow exhaust may contain flying debris. Safety
Protection should be worn at all times to avoid injury.
STARTING
Press the Start key. The machine will start and then load automatically.
NOTE
During normal operation, the blower will run when the machine
is running and may run for a short time after the machine stops.
If the machine stops due to an alarm or a local or remote stop, the
blower will stop with the machine.
WARNING
If the machine stops automatically, the airend, separator tank
and oil system can contain high pressure air and will vent back to
atmosphere. This can be verified by unscrewing the coolant fill
plug which has a vent hole through which any residual pressure
will be vented. Downstream of the separator tank may still contain
system pressure which must also be vented.
NORMAL STOPPING
Press the Stop/Reset key.
EMERGENCY STOPPING
1. Press EMERGENCY STOP button (1) and the compressor and fan
will stop immediately. This button is not to be used for stopping under
normal operation.
2. Turn off electrical isolator or disconnect.
Before restarting, identify and correct all faults, and ensure the machine
can operate safely.
