You MUST connect your machine to a grounded
circuit that is rated for the amperage given below.
Never replace a circuit breaker on an existing cir

ing a qualified electrician to ensure compliance
with wiring codes

your area or you plan to connect your machine

Power Connection Device
The power connection device depends on the
type of installed or planned service. We recom

mend using one of the devices shown in Figure
5,
depending on the model and voltage being used.
NOTICE
Extension Cords (220V Only)
Using extension cords may reduce the life
of the motor. Instead, place the machine
near a power source. If you must use an
extension cord
:
• Use at least a 12 gauge cord that does
not exceed 50 feet in length.
• Ensure that the extension cord contains
a ground wire and plug pin.

Phase Converter Precaution
The power from the manufactured leg of
a phase converter may damage electrical
components if connected to the wrong
incoming power terminal on your machine.
Only connect the manufactured leg to the
T3 terminal of the main power switch (see
Page 53 for identification
).
