Forconveniencewhen carryingor transportingyour
miter sawfrom one placeto another, a carrying
handle hasbeen providedon top ofthe saw arm as
showninfigure 4. To transport,turnoff and unplug
yoursaw, then lowerthe saw arm and lockit inthe
downposition.Locksaw arm by depressingthe lock
pin.

The switchtdggaris equippedwith a lock-offlever to
reducethe possibilityof accidentalstarting.The lock-
offlever mustbe presseddown withthe palm ofyour
handto tum saw on. Once the saw ison, the lock-off
lever can be released, The spdng loadedlever will
spdngback intothe lock-offpositionwhen theswitch
tdggeris released.

A spindlelock buttonhas been providedfor locking
the spindlewhich stopsthe rotationof the blade in
yoursaw. Depress and holdthe lockbuttonwhile
installing,changing,or removingblade.

To prevent unauthodzedusaof your compoundmiter
saw, we suggestthat you disconnectitfromthe power
supplyand lockthe switchin the offposition.To lock
the switch,installa padlockthroughthe hole inthe
switchtdggar. A lockwith a shackleup to 13/64 in.
diameter may be used. When the lockisinstalledand
locked,the switch isinoperable.Store the padlock key
in another location.
