When cuttingcrownmoldingby thismethodthe bevel
angle shouldbe set at 33.85°. The miter angleshould
be set at 31.62° either dghtor left, dependingonthe
desiredcutfor the application.See thechart belowfor
correctangle settingsand correct positioningofcrown
moldingon mitertable.
The settingsin the chart belowcan be used forcutting
AllStandard (U.S.) crownmoldingwith 52° and 38°
angias. The crown moldingisplaced fiat on the miter
table usingthe compound features ofyour mitersaw.

When cuttingwarped material,always make sure itis
positionedon the mitertable with the convex side
againstthe fence as shown infigure 33.
Ifthe warped matadai is positionedthewrong way as
showninfigure 34, it willpinchthe bladenear the
completion of the cut.
