“TOOL IS BACK” CONNECTIONS

“Tool is back” signal, used to interlocktapper with machinery, acti-
vate coolant, etc., may be accomplished by connecting port “c”
as shown below. Air supply is taken from port “A” and the pilot
pressure is taken from port “C”. When the tapper is retracted and
shut off, the pilot valve is deactivated, allowing pressure to flow
from the IN n/o port of the valve to the OUT port of the valve to sup- -
ply a steady signal. This signal will be on when the tool is back and
-
off when the tool is advancing or retracting.
OUTPUT SIGNAL IS ON SUS-
TAINED WHEN TOOL IS BACK,
AND IS OFF WHEN TOOL IS AD-
VANCING AND RETRACTING.
