HP (Hewlett-Packard) HP 34811A Work Light User Manual


 
This chapter describes how to install and configure HP BenchLink/Arb to
run on your computer.
Before beginning the installation process, verify that your system meets
the following minimum requirements.
Equipment Required
Personal Computer Requirements
IBM (or compatible) 386 or 486 PC.
3.5" 1.44 Mb floppy disk drive (high density).
Microsoft compatible mouse (bus or serial).
Color VGA or SVGA display.
4 MB memory.
1.4 MB free disk space (additional space is required for
storage of waveforms).
Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or higher.
Microsoft MS-DOS version 5.0 or higher.
Either RS-232 or IEEE-488 (HP-IB/GPIB) interface
(as described below).
Computer Interface Requirements
IEEE-488 Interface Requirements. To use an IEEE-488 interface with
HP BenchLink/Arb you must have an HP-IB

cable (HP 10833X) and one
of the following IEEE-488 interface cards already installed in your
computer:
HP 27209A HP-IB
HP 82335A/B HP-IB
National Instruments AT-GPIB
National Instruments GPIB-PCII/IIA
RS-232 Requirements. To use RS-232 with HP BenchLink/Arb you
must have an RS-232 cable and an available Asynchronous Serial (COM)
port on your PC.
