Table Leadscrews
Oil Type ......Model T23962 or ISO 68 Equivalent
Oil Amount ............................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .........40 Hrs. of Operation
Move the table as necessary to access the entire
length of the X-, Y-, and Z-axis leadscrews (see
Figures 6768), then use mineral spirits, shop
rags, and a brush to clean them.
Ram Ways
Oil Type ......Model T23962 or ISO 68 Equivalent
Oil Amount ............................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .........40 Hrs. of Operation
Move the ram as necessary to gain access to the
entire length of the ram dovetail ways (see Figure
69), use mineral spirits and shop rags to clean the
ways, then apply a thin coat of lubricant.
When dry, use a clean brush to apply a thin coat
of oil to the leadscrew threads, then move the
table through the X-, Y-, and Z-axis paths to dis-
tribute the oil.

Grease Type ......... NLGI#2 Grease or Equivalent
Oil Amount ............................................Thin Coat
Lubrication Frequency .........80 Hrs. of Operation
Use mineral spirits, shop rags, and a brush to
clean the old grease from the teeth of the bevel
gears shown in Figure 70.
When dry, use a brush to apply a thin coat of
grease to the teeth, then move the table up and
down to evenly distribute the grease.
