Encryption - When WPA-PSK or WPA is set as the Authentication Type, you can select
Automatic (Recommended), TKIP or AES as Encryption.
PSK Password - You can enter ASCII or Hexadecimal characters. The default password
is the last unique eight numbers of each Routers MAC address
For ASCII, the key can be made up of any numbers 0 to 9 and any letters A to Z, the length
should be between 8 and 63 characters.
For Hexadecimal, the key can be made up of any numbers 0 to 9 and letters A to F, the
length should be between 8 and 64 characters.
Please also note the key is case sensitive, this means that upper and lower case keys will
affect the outcome. It would also be a good idea to write down the key and all related wireless
security settings.
Group Key Update Period - Specify the group key update interval in seconds. The value
should be 30 or above. Enter 0 to disable the update.
Be sure to click the Save button to save your settings on this page.
6.7 DHCP

There are three submenus under the DHCP menu (shown in Figure 6-10): DHCP Settings,
DHCP Clients List and Address Reservation. Click any of them, and you will be able to
configure the corresponding function.
6.7.1 DHCP Settings
Selecting DHCP > DHCP Settings will enable you to set up the Range Extender as a DHCP
(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server, which provides the TCP/IP configuration for all the
PCs that are connected to the system on the LAN. The DHCP Server can be configured on the
page (shown as Figure 6-11), only when you’ve set the Network LAN type as Static IP in Figure 6-6.
Note:
The DHCP Settings function cannot be configured if you have chosen Smart IP (DHCP) in Network ->
LAN, in which situation the device will help you configure the DHCP automatically as you need. The
DHCP Settings page will appear as Figure 6-10.
