01. Remove the clutch cover on the left-hand side of the motor.
02. Remove the clutch cable by taking off the nut with spring and then backing off the
adjusting screw of the clutch with the screwdriver and so that the ramp assembly can
be rotated. Remove the cable coupling from the outer ramp. Then remove the clutch
cable from the primary cover. Remove the mechanical clutch lever from the handlebar.
03. Reinstall the cable coupling and the ramp assembly; set the clutch according to the
factory instructions (loosen the counter nut; screw it in as far as it will go and then
1/2 to 3/4 revolutions back; replace nut with spring).
04. Remove the hydraulic system from the packaging.
Tools required:
8 mm wrench
14 mm wrench
Torx wrench set
Medium-sized screwdriver
Wire cutter or sharp knife
On delivery, the system is completely filled. The
system must be opened for installation. No
fluid may be allowed to escape as this could
subsequently impair the proper functioning of
the system. It is therefore essential that the
following installation instructions be followed
exactly. To ensure a precise fit, the hydraulic
system is locked with a spacer in the slave
cylinder during installation. Do not actuate the
master cylinder prematurely! Do not remove the
spacer prematurely; remove it according to the
instructions! If additional hydraulic fluid is
required, use only MAGURA mineral oil;
available in either 2 or 10 ounce bottles.
