Perform these steps to configure VLANs, beginning in configuration mode.
Command Purpose
Step 1
interface fe port
Selects the Fast Ethernet port to configure.
Step 2
shutdown
(Optional) Shuts down the interface to prevent
traffic flow until configuration is complete.
