9.1 About SNMP
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a protocol for network management and monitoring.
Your Prestige 1100 supports SNMP agent functionality, which allows a manager station to manage and
monitor the Prestige 1100 through the network. Keep in mind that SNMP is only available if TCP/IP is
configured on your Prestige 1100.
9.2 SNMP Configuration
To configure SNMP, select option 22. SNMP Configuration from the Main Menu to open Menu 22 -
SNMP Configuration, as shown in Figure 9-1. The “community” for Get, Set and Trap fields is simply
SNMP’s terminology for password.
