11.1 About Telnet Configuration
Before the Prestige 1100 is properly setup for TCP/IP, the only option for configuring it is through the
console port. Once your Prestige 1100 is configured, you can use telnet to configure it remotely.

If your Prestige 1100 is configured for IPX but not IP routing in Menu 1, telnet is still available provided
you assign the Prestige 1100 a correct IP address and subnet mask. When IP routing is disabled, the
Prestige 1100 can still function as a host.
