Sample Error 2 Sample flow has not been
detected.
Insufficient sample added to the
Test Cartridge.
Clogged sample pad.
Failure to use supplied assay tip.
Insufficient mixing of sample.
Interfering substances in the
sample.
Analyte levels significantly higher
than the upper reportable range.
The Test Cartridge is
ejected.
Remove and dispose of
appropriately.
Repeat the assay with a
fresh set of components.
If problem persists
contact Technical
Support to report the
problem.
Fail
Temperature Error TM not at proper temperature to
carry out specific assay
requested.
Contact Technical
Support to report the
problem.
Error XX
e.g., Error 2B
Port Disabled The identified port is disabled
due to failing IQC or a transport
carriage failure. LED remains
illuminated red.

Insertion Error Remove &
Reinsert
Followed by:
Timed Out
The Test Cartridge was not
inserted properly into the 3M
Rapid Detection Reader or the
operator did not wait until
prompted.
User has not performed the
action required within time
period allowed.
Cancel the assay or reinsert the
Test Cartridge. Fully insert Test
Cartridge until firm resistance is
felt. Do not use excessive force.
The TM will guide the Test
Cartridge into the port.
NOTE: The Test Cartridge must
be reinserted into the TM port
within approximately 30 seconds
or an error message will be
displayed and the assay will be
aborted.
Repeat assay using a fresh set of
components.
