Scanning from a computer
You can operate the machine from your computer and scan originals into your computer directly.
Preparation for scanning from a computer with USB connection
1. Connect the machine to the computer using a USB cable, and install the scanner driver on the
computer.

2. If a TWAIN-compliant application is not installed on the computer, install a TWAIN-compliant
application.
Preparation for scanning from a computer with network connection
1. Connect the machine to the network.

2. Configure the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address using the control panel.

3. Install the scanner driver on the computer.

4. If a TWAIN-compliant application is not installed on the computer, install a TWAIN-compliant
application.
