Cleaning Procedure Ċ Exterior
WARNING
To avoid injury or death, unplug the power cord from line voltage
before cleaning the oscilloscope. To avoid getting moisture inside
the oscilloscope during external cleaning, use only enough liquid
to dampen the cloth or applicator.
1. Remove loose dust on the outside of the oscilloscope with a lint free
cloth.
2. Remove remaining dirt with a lint free cloth dampened in a general purĆ
pose detergentĆandĆwater solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
3. Clean the monitor screen with a lintĆfree cloth dampened with either isoĆ
propyl alcohol or, preferably, a gentle, general purpose detergentĆandĆ
water solution.
Inspection Ċ Interior
To access the inside of the oscilloscope for inspection and cleaning, refer to
the Removal and Installation Procedures in this section.
Inspect the internal portions of the oscilloscope for damage and wear, using
Table 6Ć2 as a guide. You should repair defects immediately.
If you replace any electrical module, perform the adjustment procedures,
beginning on page 5Ć1.
