• Unptugthe router.
• Placeyourrouter upsidedown ona workbench.
• Remove thesubbase screwsand thesubbasefrom
yourrouter.
NOTE: The subbase ismounted permanentlyonsome
routereand shouldnot be removed.
• Selectthescrewsneeded for yourparticularrouter.For
consumerreuters, usethe10-32 x 3/4 in. screws.For
eommerc'la_Pouters,usethe 5/16-18 screws.
• Positionrouterupside down underthe routerextension
tabie. The routerlabelshouldbe facingthe front ofthe
table.
• Atignthe holesin the tablewith the holes inyourrouter.
Feed the screwsthroughthe table and intothe router.
• Tightenallscrewswith a screwdriver.
• Selectthe correctsizethroat platefor the sizeof the
routerbit.Alignthetab on the throat platewith theslot
in themuter extension and snap inplace. Make sure
thethroat plateis firmly seated belowthe_able surface.
Recheck the router bit to make sureitwillnot s_ke the
throat plate.

• Adjustthe guard/dustcover sothat itwillnotcorns in
conta_ with theworkplaceor cutter duringa cutting
operation.
• D[rectionof feed oftheworkplace isfromright to leftor
from theback oft'nesaw toward the frontwith the bit
located inthe fenceopening.

TO INSTALL BIT AND THROAT PLATE
The routerthroat plates areincludedtoassure nomore
than1/4 in.eisarancebetween thecutter and the opening
in the throat plate. Use the correct throat plate.Do not use
a routerbitsmallerthan I/4 in,or largerthan2 in.
• To installthe routerbit,fotlow the instructionsinthe
operator'smanua_that camewith yourrouter.

theaccessory table orany metal surface.
