78D-Link DIR-505 User Manual
Section 4 - Access Point Mode
Indicates the channel setting for the DIR-505. The Channel
can be changed to t the channel setting for an existing
wireless network or to customize the wireless network. If you
enable Auto Channel Scan, this option will be grayed out.
Select whether to use Auto 20/40 MHz or 20 MHz for the
channel width. Normally, this should be left on Auto 20/40
MHz. If you are not using any 802.11n wireless clients, you
can set this to 20 MHz.
This setting controls whether the router’s wireless network
name(SSID) will be broadcast so that wireless devices can
scan for it. If you set it to Invisible, all wireless clients will
need to enter the network name and security settings of
your wireless network manually.
Here, you can select between None, WEP, WPA-Personal,
and WPA-Enterprise. Refer to the following pages for details
on conguring the dierent security modes.
