CHECKING RIP FENCE AND BLADE
ALIGNMENT
See Figures29 - 31.
The ripfence is self-aligningbut shouldbe checked
before first use.
_, WARNING: Failure to align the ripfence to the
blade can causejams and kickback,resultingin
seriouspersonal injury.
Slidethe ripfence tothe mitergage groove, which
isparallelto blade. Do not lockthe rip fence.
Place a framing square againstthe blade,with the
longend underthe ripfence. Note the distance.
Movethe square to the back and measure the
lengthfrom the other end of the fence.
Ifthe distancesare different,loosenthefour screws
aroundthe ripfence handlewith a 6 mm hex key.
Alternatethe order (loosenthe screwopposite,not
nextto the first one).
Holdthe fence handle againstthe frontrailand
alignthe rip fence withthe blade.
Retightenthe screwsin alternatingorderand check
thealignment.
Repeat untilthe ripfence is aligned.
To completeassemblyof the saw, plug the motorcord
intothe back of the switch. Run the cord aroundthe
side ofthe cabinet. Secure itto the side of the cabinet
withthe cord clipand screw provided. Use care with
thecord around sharpedges. Your saw is now set up
toprovide years of highquality performance.
