• Raisethe blade guard and remove the throat plate.
TOremove, loosenthe screwat the frontwitha
phillipsscrewddver and I!ftthe front end. Pull itout
towardthe front end.
• Raisethe blade to its highestpositionby turning
the height handwheelclockwise.Angle the blade
straightup bylooseningthe bevel lockhandle and
turningthe bevel handwheet.Wedge a piece of
scrapwood against the frontof the blade. See
Figure32.
• Loosenthe blade nut withthe bible wrench
providedwithyour saw. Remove the blade nut and
bladewasher. Carefully remove the scrap wood
and blade.
• To replace the blade with an accessoryblade,
follow the instructionsprovidedwiththeaccessory.
• To install a standard blade, place the new blade on
thearbor shaft,withteeth pointing down towardthe
front of thesaw, Wedge a piece ofscrap woodat
the backof the blade. See Figure34.
CAUTION: The teeth must pointdowntoward
thefront ofthe saw to work properly.Otherwise,
damage to the blade, saw, or workpiececan
occur.

• Place the bladewasher and the blade nut over
the bladearbor. Be sure the dome side ofthe
bladewasher faces out from the bladeand that
all itemsare snug againstthe arbor housing.
Tightensecurely.
• Remove the scrapwood and rotate the blade by
handto make sure it turnsfreely.
• Slipthe throat plate intothe openingand push it
towardthe back of the saw to engage the spring
clip,Securely tightenthe screw. If thethroat plate
isnotflush with the table, adjustthe setscrews
with a 2 mrn hex key.[3o not allow the throat
plateto bow up above the table surface.
