Ifthetooth was too close tothe square, backthe
bracket away withthe blockof woodand hammer.
Tightenthe screws,raise the blade and recheck.
Repeat untilblade isparallel to mitergage groove.
Ifthe blade Is not parattel,adjustthe fronttable
bracket.Tilt the blade to 45"with the blade lock
handleand bevel handwheel.
Fromthe backof the saw, toosenthe bolts holding
the front table bracket, as wellas the reartable
bracket.
Repositionthe bladeto 90" with the bevel hand-
wheel and blade lock handle.
Lowerthe blade and movethe bracketsas needed.
Retightenall bracket screws.
Raisethe blade and recheck. Repeat untilthe
bladeis parallelto the miter gage groove.
Place thethroat plate in the openingand pushit
towardthe rearof saw baseto engage the spring
clip.
Note: The keyslotin thethroatplate willdrop overthe
frontscrew.
Tightenthe screw. Do not allow the throatplateto
bow up above thetable surface.

SETTING THE BEVEL STOPS AND INDICATOR
See Figures38 and 39.
,_ WARNING: Make sure theswitchis off, the
switchkey isremoved, and your saw is
unplugged.Failure to do so could resultin
accidentalstarting, resultingin serious personal
injury.
The bevel scale shouldshow 0" whenthe blade is set
verticalat 90" totable, and 45" when blade is at 45"tilt.
Raise the blade all the way up by turningthe height
handwheel. Liftthe bladeguard.
Loosenbevel lookhandleand turnthe bevel
handwheelclockwisetotiltthe blade, Reverse it
and turnthe handwheel counterclockwiseuntilit
stops.
Checkthe blade angle witha combinationsquare.
Don't letthe squaretouch a bladetooth.The blade
shouldbe at 90" and th_ scale indicatorat 0".
Note: The scaleindicatoristhe plasticplate on the
scaleat thefront of the cabinet.
Ifthe scaleindicatordoes notpointto 0", loosenthe
scale indicatorwitha screwdriver,adjustit within
the s_ot,and retightenthe screw.
If the bladeangle is wrong,adjustthe 90" stop
screw (leftof the blade, lookingfrom the front). Start
byturningthe 90"stopscrewthree or fourturns
with a 4 mm hex key.

Turnthe bevel handwhee]clockwiseonce,then
back counterclockwiseto square blade withtable.
Tightenthe 90" stopscrewand recheckthat the
blade is squarein a 90" position,If not, repeat,
When theblade is square, checkthe scale indica-
tor. If itis notat zero, resetthe scale indicatoras
before.
