NOTE: Although automatic drive
cleaning by AMASS is supported on
these drives, automatic drive cleaning
by AMASS on this drive installed in an
IBM 3494 is not supported because the
library has its own internal drive
cleaning capabilities.
• 3590B1A-written and
3590B1A-ultra-written tapes are
READONLY in this drive.
• The native capacity of tapes is 20GB;
the compressed capacity is 60GB.
AMASS assumes a compressed
capacity of 2:1 so the capacity
displayed by the
vollist command
after a
volformat shows 38145MB.
