OUTPUT PROBLEMS
Major physical or electrical dam-
age is evident.
1. Contact your local Lincoln
Authorized Field Service
Facility.
1. Contact The Lincoln Electric
Service Dept. (216) 383-2531 or
1-800-833-9353 (WELD).
No weld output and no auxiliary
power. Engine operates normally.
1. Check brushes for wear. See
the Maintenance section of
this manual.
2. Check for loose or faulty con-
nections at brush holders.
1. Perform the Rotor Voltage
Test.
2. If the rotor voltage is low or
missing, check for the proper
flashing current. Perform the
Rotor Flashing Circuit Test.
3. Perform the Rotor Resistance
Test.
4. The field capacitor (C1) or recti-
fier bridge (D1) may be faulty.
Test or replace.
5. Test the rheostat (R1). Normal
resistance is 3.3 ohms.
