Rotationcheck:To check the rotation,holdthe front
of the arm with one hand and graspthe top ofthe
column supportwith the other. Press the arm tothe
side. Ifthere isplay between the columnsupport
and the columntube, it needs to be adjusted. See
Figure20B.

ElevationAdjustment:Ifthe elevationcheck didnot
showany playbetween the column tube and the
support,go tothe rotationadjustment.Otherwise,
raise and lowerthe arm with the elevating hand-
wheel.Tighten the black screwson the rightside of
the column supportby 1/16thto 1/8thof a turn.
Tightenthe two silverscrewson the leftside
slightlymore. You will need two 1/2 in.wrenches or
sockets.Turn the elevating handwheel again. Ifthe
columntube binds,loosenthe silverand black
screws and turnthe handwheel again. See Figure
20C.
When the elevation issmooth, checkfor looseness
again bypressingupward on the frontofthe arm.
Repeat the previousstepuntil elevation issmooth
with no play between the column tube and the
column support.
