When making one of the followingcuts, followthe
instructionsthat applyfor the basiccut, dependingon
the position,shape, and size of the wood. Do not
attempt these cuts untilyou are skilledwith the basic
cuts.
CUTTING LONG WORKPIECES

• Place a supportthe same heightas the saw table
nearbyfor the cut work.
WARNING: Make sure the blade guard is
loweredand isworkingproperlytoprevent
possibleinjury.
_, WARNING: Never put your handswithin 3 in. of
the blade when it ison.
• Make sure the wooddoes nottouchthe blade
beforeyou turnon the saw with the switchon the
arm. Letthe blade buildup tofull speed beforeit
contactsthe wood.
• When the work iscompleted, pressthe switchoff
and remove the key.
