GENERAL MAINTENANCE
,_ WARNING: When servicing,use only identical
Craftsman replacement parts. Use of any other
part may create a hazard or cause product
damage.
,_ WARNING: To prevent accidental startingthat
could cause possibleserious personal injury,turn
offthe saw with the switchon the arm, remove
the switch key, and unplugthe saw before
workingon the radial saw.
Remove sawdust from the work area, including
inside the blade cover, frequently.
Remove sawdust from and clean the blade guards
frequently.
Clean plasticparts with a softdamp cloth. Do not
use any strongsolvents.
_k WARNING: Do notat any time letbrake fluids,
gasoline, petroleum-based products,penetrating
oils, etc. contact plastic parts.They contain
chemicalsthat can damage, weaken ordestroy
plastic.
Check teeth of anti-kickback pawls; sharpen with
file if needed.
Regularly check all nuts, bolts, screws;and cables
for tightness and condition.
MOTOR/ELECTRICAL
Frequently vacuum or blow out any sawdustfrom
the work areas.
A WARNING: Ifthe power cords are worn, cut, or
damaged in any way, have them replaced
immediatelyby a qualifiedservice technicianat a
Sears store or repaircenter. Failureto do so
could resultin sedous personal injury.
WARNING: To avoidfire or electrocution,
reassemble electric parts onlywith identical
Craftsman replacement parts. Reassemble
exactlyas originallyassembled.
