LEVELING THE TABLE SUPPORTS
See Figures22A and 22B.
The table supportsmust be perfectlylevel.
Pullthe bevel locklever forward to unlockit. Use
the bevel index knobto rotate the motorsothe
arborshaft pointsdown. Lock the bevel lock lever.
Release the arm lock knobto angle the arm. Begin
by positioningthe arbor shaftover the backof the
highesttable support. Normallythis isthe left side.
See Figure 22A.
Lock the arm lock knob and the carriage lockknob.
Usingone ofthe blade wrenchesas a feeler gage,
place it on the table supportbelowthe arbor shaft.
With the elevating handwheel, carefullylowerthe
motoruntilthe shaftjust touchesthe wrench. The
wrenchshouldmove withonly slightresistance.
Securely tightenthe backscrew on the table
support.
Withoutchangingthe elevation, movethe arm to
place the blade arborover the frontof table sup-
port. See Figure 22B.
ARMLOCKKNOB
Place the wrench below the shaftand checkthat
the clearance isthe same. If not,adjustthe table
supportuntilitisthe same. Securelytightenthe
frontscrew.
Move the arm to the oppositeside and repeat the
above procedure.When the oppositeside is level,
recheckthe first sideto make sure thatit isstill
accurate and even.
Return the saw and motorto normal height and
position.
