Fault
Name
Fault Descriptions Corrective Actions
Over-current during
constant speed operation
1. Short-circuit at motor output: Check for
possible poor insulation at the output line.
2. Sudden increase in motor loading: Check for
possible motor stall.
3. AC motor drive output power is too small:
Replace the AC motor drive with the next
higher power model.
External Fault
1. When multi-function input terminals (MI1-MI6)
are set to external fault, the AC motor drive
stops output U, V and W.
2. Give RESET command after fault has been
cleared.
Internal EEPROM can not be
programmed.
Return to the factory.
Internal EEPROM can not be
programmed.
Return to the factory.
Drive’s internal circuitry
abnormal.
1. Switch off power supply.
2. Check whether the input voltage falls within the
rated AC drive input voltage. Switch on the AC
drive.
OH error
OV error
LV error
Current detection error
DC BUS detection error
Current detection error
Return to the factory.
Ground fault
When (one of) the output terminal(s) is grounded,
short circuit current is more than 50% of AC motor
drive rated current, the AC motor drive power
module may be damaged.
NOTE: The short circuit protection is provided
for AC motor drive protection, not for
protection of the user.
1. Check whether the IGBT power module is
damaged.
2. Check for possible poor insulation at the
output line.
External Base Block.
(Refer to Pr. 8-06)
1. When the external input terminal (B.B) is
active, the AC motor drive output will be
turned off.
2. Deactivate the external input terminal (B.B) to
operate the AC motor drive again.
Auto accel/decel failure
1. Check if the motor is suitable for operation by
AC motor drive.
2. Check if the regenerative energy is too large.
3. Load may have changed suddenly.
