7.3.2 Using the Connect button
The Connect button in the toolbar of the Response Curves and Real-Ear tests
creates a real-time connection between your computer and your analyzer.
Any current running measurement on your analyzer will be displayed on the
WinCHAP display.
1. Set up the analyzer and hearing aid for coupler testing.
2. Start the real-time measurement on your analyzer using a FAST pure-tone
sweep, Composite signal, or Digital Speech signal.
3. Click
Connect in the Response Curves test window to establish a real-
time connection. To speed up the connection, the grid lines on the
WinCHAP display will temporarily disappear.
4. When satisfied, click
Disconnect to end the connection.
5. Click
Save to save the measurement.
7.3.3 Getting curves from your analyzer
If you have taken a coupler response curve or set of response curves on your
FONIX analyzer, you can transfer those measurements to WinCHAP by using
the Get Curves button in the Response Curves toolbar.
6500-CX: If you are in the Composite measurement screen, Get Curves will grab
the curve displayed on the screen. If you are in the 6500-CX Multi-curve screen,
Get Curves will grab any curves stored in CRV 1-4.
If you would like to grab only specific curves, or if you would like to grab refer
-
ence curves:
1. Open the Tools menu.
2. Select 6500-CX Multicurve.
3. Select which curves you would like to grab.
4. Click
Save.
5. Click
Back to close the window.
6. Click Get Curves. This will get the curves selected in step 3.
FP35 and 7000
: Get Curves will grab any curves shown in the Coupler Multi-
curve screen.
FP40: If Multi-curve is OFF on the FP40, Get Curves will grab the curve dis-
played in the coupler screen. If Multi-curve is ON, Get Curves will grab any
curves stored in CRV 1-4.
