6.4.1 Setting up
The procedure for setting up for an NAL-NL1 fitting is very similar to that for a
DSL fitting.
1. Click
Settings and choose the General tab.
2. Select the desired HA type
: BTE, ITE, CIC, or ITC.
3. Set the Transducer and Loud Speaker Orientation if you haven’t already
done so.
4. Select the Compression Threshold level of the hearing aid if you are fit
-
ting a WDRC aid.
5. Choose the NAL-NL1 Settings tab.
6. Select the appropriate Reference Position. If you use the recommended
leveling procedure performed with the patient in the sound field, this
should be set to Head Surface. If you level with the patient outside of the
sound field (not recommended), set this to Undisturbed Field
.
7. Select aid’s Output Limiting. Choose between Multi-Channel, Wideband
,
or Off. (The Off selection will not give you an SSPL target.)
