Maintenance
This section provides maintenance tasks that are specific to just the
application downloader.
Restarting the
Application
Downloader
To restart the application downloader:
1 From the EMS explorer tree, navigate to the 3Com Application
Downloader.
2 Right-click the application downloader and select Maintenance and then
click Hard Restart.
Stopping the
Application
Downloader
To stop the application downloader:
1 From the EMS explorer tree, navigate to the 3Com Application
Downloader.
2 Right-click the application downloader and select Maintenance and then
click Hard Shutdown.
Verifying the
Application
Downloader State
To verify the state of the application downloader:
1 Login to EMS.
2 Navigate to the application downloader.
3 The status indicator light that appears next to the 3COM Application
Downloader identifies these states:
■ green — it is running
■ red — it is down
