4.4 Manual Calibration
4.4.3 Manual Calibration for Vapor Recovery Applications
1. The measurement system
for this applications includes a
converter, therefore calibration
span gas must contain oxygen
for the converter to work pro-
perly.
2. During channel 1 calibra-
tions, the calibration gas must
go through the converter. The-
refore, before starting calibra-
tions, ensure „Pump 1“ within
the control menu is set to ON.
Note!
„Pump 1“ is used to disable (Off) or enable
(On) the gas ow through the converter!
Recommended specication of calibration
gases:
• Zero gases for both channels:
Nitrogen or air, free of hydrocarbons
• Span gas for channel 1:
CH
4
in air, concentration should be about
90…100 % of measuring range
• Span gas for channel 2:
Suitable hydrocarbons (C
n
H
m
) in air, con-
centration should be about 90…100 % of
measuring range.
Perform the zero and span calibrations fol-
lowing the procedures described in sections
4.4.1 and 4.4.2.
