Mounting the Cisco ADE 2130 and 2140 Series Appliance in a 2-Post Rack
Installing the Appliance in the Rack
Caution Lifting the appliance and attaching it to the rack is a two-person job. If needed, use an appropriate lifting
device. A fully loaded Cisco ADE 2130 and 2140 Series appliance weighs approximately 51.5 lb
(23.4 kg).
Before you begin, check the 10-32 x 1/2-inch screws that are included in the 2-post rack-mount kit (see
Table 3-1 on page 3-4) to see if they are the correct size for your rack. If not, obtain the correct screws
to use in the procedure where “rack screws” are required.
To mount the appliance in the rack:
Step 1 Locate one person at the front of the rack and one at the rear.
Step 2 Position an L bracket on the front side of the center post (see Figure 3-3).

Attach the L bracket to the center post using the 10-32 x 1/2-inch rack screws (see Figure 3-3). Do not
fully tighten the screws at this time.
Step 4 Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the other L bracket.
Step 5 Tighten all the 10-32 x 1.2-inch rack screws on both sides of the rack.
