Step 3 Slide the new power supply into the appliance chassis until it clicks into place.
Step 4 Save the blank filler panel, in case you need to use it at a later date.
Note A blank filler panel is shown next to an AC power supply module (see Figure 4-10). The blank filler
panel can also be used alongside a DC power module.
Completing the Installation
To complete your installation, you must reinstall the Cisco ADE 2130 and 2140 Series appliance cover
and connect all external cables. Follow the instructions in this section.
Caution To maintain proper cooling and airflow, install the appliance cover before turning on the appliance.
Operating the appliance for extended periods (over 30 minutes) with the appliance cover removed might
damage the appliance components.
Warning
The covers are an integral part of the safety design of the product. Do not operate the unit without the
covers installed.

To install the appliance cover after you have completed your hardware options installation or
maintenance:
Step 1 Review the information in the “Safety Warnings” section on page x and the “Safety Guidelines” section
on page 2-2.
