5. Carefully slide the module out of the chassis.
6. Place t
he mod ul e in its a ntistatic bag , being careful not to touch module
components, pins, leads, or solder connections.
7. Cover t
he empty chassis slot with a blank filler panel, and tighten the filler
panel’s captive screws using a Phillips screwdriver. Turn both screws several
times before tightening them completely.
If you remove an I/O module a nd not the corresponding line m odule, the line module
reboots. Its status becomes inactive when you issue the show version command.
If you remove a line module and do not delete the c orresponding
confi
guration, the status of the line module is listed as not p resent
when you issue the show version command.
