Output On/Off Synchronization
Synchronizing Output Turn-on Delays.........................................................100
Synchronizing Multiple Mainframes............................................................103
Operation..........................................................................................................104
This chapter discusses output on/off synchronization. This function
lets you accurately synchronize output turn-on sequences by letting
you specify a common delay offset, which serves as a reference point
for the user-programmed turn-on delays.
This same reference point also makes it possible to connect multiple
Agilent N6700-series mainframes together and program accurate
turn-on sequences across multiple mainframes.
There is no need to specify a delay offset when outputs turn off.
Outputs start executing their turn-off delays as soon as an output Off
command is received.
NOTE
The output turn-on synchronization function is only available on Agilent
N6700B, N6701A, and N6702A mainframes with firmware revision C.01.01 and
up. To upgrade your power system with the latest firmware revision, go to
http://www.agilent.com/find/N6700firmware
.
Agilent N6700A mainframes with the 4-pin digital connector do not support this
function.
