NSP-100 Maintenance Commands
The NSP-100 Setup dialog box provides the following two commands for maintenance
of the network players:
Restart NSP-100
Used to restart a malfunctioning NSP-100. (Restarting may not work, though, in
case of a network problem.)
Update Firmware
Used to update the firmware of an NSP-100 or all NSP-100s in a group.
Note
Either button restarts the network player(s). Do not use them for network player(s)
that is/are being used for playout.
Password entry may be required upon clicking [NSP-100 Setup].
Enter a valid password then click [OK]. This password is defined/modified in the
Setup dialog box.
Restarting an NSP-100
1 Click [NSP-100 Setup] on the main menu.
The NSP-100 Setup dialog box appears.
2 Click the Individual option button in the Destination section, and select the name of the
NSP-100 to be restarted in the Name drop-down list box.
You cannot select a network player group to restart all the network players in it.
3 Click [Restart NSP-100].
A confirmation message appears.
4 Click [Yes].
Updating the Firmware of NSP-100(s)
1 Click [NSP-100 Status] on the main menu.
2 Select the group to which the network player(s) to be updated belong in the Group drop-
down list box.
Or, click [Update] if the desired group is already selected.
Then, check that the network player(s) to be updated is/are not currently being used for
playout.
3 Click [NSP-100 Setup] on the main menu.
The NSP-100 Setup dialog box appears.
4 In the Destination section, select the network player or group whose firmware is to be
updated.
5 Click [Update Firmware].
A confirmation message appears.
6 Click [Yes].
The firmware file is sent to the network player(s). The network player automatically restarts
after the firmware is updated.
If an error occurs during transfer, an error message appears. When you send the firmware
file to a network player group, click [Transfer Status] on the main menu and find out the
network player which did not receive the firmware file because of the error.
