4. Operation
Control Overview

There are several ways to control the DCS-100:
The front panel is ideal for all basic operations. Available controls include the
Display Section and the buttons in the Inputs Section and the Effects Section.
The built-in web-based GUI is ideal for intuitive point-and-click operations. Refer
to Chapter 5, “GUI Operations” on page 101 for additional details.
The DCS-100 can also be controlled remotely via Ethernet or Serial
communications. See Appendix B “Remote Control” on page 125 for additional
details.

After connecting power to the DCS-100, locate the power switch on the back of the chassis,
and turn power ON. While the system is initializing, the following messages are displayed:
