8 In Community Name: W, enter the write community name for this group of objects.
9 (optional) In Notifications, specify whether you want notifications to be sent when
threshold crossings are detected:
To send notifications to e-mail addresses, select E-mail.
To send notifications as traps to SNMP devices, select SNMP.
To use the same type of notifications for objects that are subordinate to the
selected ones, click
Apply Notifications on The Object and All Sub Objects.
10 (optional) In Other Properties, select the check boxes for the properties that you want
to use:
Enable Polling: periodically collects the device counters, generates device
indicators, and displays the device in the navigation tree
Show Interfaces: displays the device’s interfaces in the navigation tree; if the
interfaces appear as gray in the tree, polling is disabled at the interface level
Export Raw Data: exports data into the Raw ASCII report file
Database Export: exports data into databases according to the CIM model
SNMP V2C: uses data that is compliant with SNMP version 2c instead of version
1; select this check box unless SNMP v1 compatibility is mandatory
NetFlow and Port: activates the NetFlow function of Cisco devices and specifies
the NetFlow port number
Track NetFlow on Interfaces: details NetFlow data at the interface level
Top Talkers and Pairs: includes these devices on Top Talkers reports and
specifies the number of pairs to use
11 Click Apply Changes.
The Information box displays any error messages that occur after you apply changes.
To Set Global Properties for Interfaces

In the Device Configuration portion of the navigation tree, click Global Properties.
The Global Properties object-type selection screen is displayed, as shown in
Figure 46 on page 111.
2 Select Interface and click OK.
