Using HTTPS in an operational environment requires some additional setup, as
described in Chapter 2, “Installing PATROL DashBoard.” For testing and
demonstration purposes, however, you can use the turnkey HTTPS configuration
that is provided.
Features
The PATROL DashBoard product
is immediately operational with a highly efficient autodiscovery of devices and all
of their physical and logical interfaces (such as DLCIs and VCs)
automatically collects standard and private MIB performance-centric attributes,
including MIB-II, RMON, RMON2, Cisco SAA, Cisco NetFlow, and Cisco and
Bintec Class of Service (CoS)
extends information gained from probes by using host management and Top
Talkers reports for application accounting
collects data for WAN performance management, such as Frame-Relay DLCIs,
ATM VPs and VCs, Classes of Service (DiffServ), and ISDN connection time
