To Modify Individual Device Properties
1 In the Network portion of the navigation tree, right-click the device and choose
Properties.
The Device Properties screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 71:

■ Model specifies the device type.
■ Version indicates the device’s internal software version.
2 Modify properties as needed:
■ In Device Name, enter the new device IP address.
■ In Community Name (R), enter the device SNMP read community name.
■ In Community Name (W), enter the device SNMP write community name.
For some devices, two community names are given, one in read mode and one
in write mode (used for peers).
■ In Label, specify a new label to be displayed in the navigation tree.
NOTE
If you change this password, the device will be tested. The new value will be
validated if the test proves successful.
